BBQ brisket pizza is a beef lover’s treat. With Sticky Sweet BBQ sauce for the base, just add cheese, onion, jalapeno, ranch dressing and cilantro. You crowd will be howling for more. This bbq sauce pizza will win everyone’s hearts.
Lets celebrate our independence with fireworks, flags, family, friends and FOOD – that’s what the 4th of July is all about.
What a better way to feed your holiday crowd than with a Texas-sized spread including brisket and BBQ sides. The humblebrisket will feed an army and with hands off slow cook time, you’ll have plenty of free time to prepare your sides for carefree entertaining.
Brisket is awesome on it’s own, but with some beans, slaw or corn on the cob it’s a full Texas-style meal. And don’t forget that unforgettable Stubb’s Legendary BBQ Sauceto garnish those sandwiches.
Authentic, delicious brisket recipes straight from Stubb’s Legendary Bar-B-Q will make for a memorable cookout this 4th of July. And that’s where I found this BBQ Brisket Recipe So easy, the brisket is simply coated with a couple of bottles of Stubb’s Beef Rub then slow cooked to tender, mouthwatering perfection.
Not owning a smoker, I’ve always prepared my brisket in the oven. Using brisket cooking tips from Stubb’s I followed this method:
After coating with the Stubb’s Beef Rub, I seared it at about 400 degrees on our gas grill until well browned about 5 minutes per side. Then wrapped it very well with heavy duty foil and transferred it to a200-220 degree oven for about 8 hours, or until the internal temperature read 185 degrees. This was for a 7.5 pound brisket
Then I use the probe test – when a probe slides in and meets little resistance (like room temperature butter) it’s done. For this Black Bark version, there is no mopping so a nice flavorful crust forms on the brisket.
So easy you’ll feel like a BBQ pit master.
A tip from Stubb’s: Slice along the ribbon of fat that runs horizontally through the meat. Then, slice the meaty halves of the brisket against or across the grain.
Even though a brisket will feed an army, you’re sure to have left overs. And what to do with those brisket leftovers? How about adding that tender beef to a bbq sauce pizza.
Using Stubb’s Sticky Sweetfor the red sauce base, a layer of cheddar cheese, some chopped red onion, tomato, and jalapeno, sprinkle on some of that shredded brisket.
Finished with cilantro and ranch dressing, this is a delicious pizza pie. The combination of flavors here is outstanding.
Stubb’s Sticky Sweet Sauce is a thick rich sauce with brown sugar and molasses for an authentic Southern flavor. It’s perfect for dipping, infusing and of course for brisket. It was a great base for this BBQ brisket pizza and complimented the toppings perfectly.
I free-formed this pizza dough rustic style and placed it on a baking sheet that had been sprinkled with corn meal . Add the toppings and bake until the cheese is bubbly and the dough is starting to brown.
