COLLEGE REP VISIT REGISTRATION PROCESS:

  • To meet with one of the college representatives visiting SME in person, use this Google Form to register.
  • You must register at least 24 hours prior to the date/time of the visit.
  • You will first receive an email confirmation that you registered, and then an email from the counseling office that will be your pass to leave class and attend the visit.

Enroll in person (student, sibling, or parent/guardian)at SM East 7:10 am to 3:10 pm, Monday through Friday ORby phone at 993-6609.

  • Payment mustbe made within 24 hours of enrollment in person at SM East or online in Skyward eFunds.
  • SMSD Graduation requirements can be viewed in the SMSD Program Planning Guideand students may view their completed and remaining creditsin Skyward.

  • How to enroll:
    • Enroll in person (student, parent, and/or sibling) at SM East 7:10 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday OR by phone at 993-6609.
  • Courses may fill up before enrollment deadlines. Early enrollment is encouraged.
  • Payment mustbe made in person at SM East or online in Skyward eFunds within 24 hours of enrollment.

Students who are not currently attending an SMSD school (in spring 2023), but who have already enrolled to begin attending an SMSD school in fall 2023, may take the following summer classes:

  • $180 per course

  • All work done online, but final exam must be taken at school on designated date

    • For initial credit only (not credit recovery)

    • Art History, Financial Literacy,Health, and Fitness for Life 1 & 2 (PE), Psychology, US History, and American Government.

  • Mandatory orientation session attendance in May/June at SM North. Seespecific dates and times available.

Schedule Change Requests

  • Schedules will be available to view in Skyward in late July.

  • There will be a one-week window of opportunity in late July / early August to request a schedule change through a link to a Google Form. (Changes may only be submitted via the Google Form, not via email or phone.)

  • We will communicate this procedure to families prior to the end of the year and it will be posted on the .

  • Changes can only be made if class space is available.

  • Course information and details, including descriptions, prerequisites and course lists for each grade levelcan be found on our SME Enrollment web page.

For current seniors (not yet graduated):

Forgraduates (students who have already graduated and are not currently enrolled in SME):

  • Final Transcripts:
    ​​​​A final official transcript isautomatically sent in June to the college indicated in the Graduate Information form in Skyward. Therefore, students do NOT need to send another request for a final transcript to their counselor or to the registrar.

    • A senior mayrequest anunofficialtranscript for their personal use by emailing the SME registrar after June 1st(Melanie Lowe,melanielowe@smsd.org)

  • To have a transcript sent to a different college or university,or to an employer, see the SMSD Transcript Requests website.

  • For all other transcripts (for example, fraternity or sorority), you must contactthe SME registrar, Melanie Lowe.

The first step in having your transcript sent to colleges is to see the SME Registrar. She is available between 7 am - 3 pm in the Student Services office.

After you have reviewed the information on our website,contact your counselor if you have additional questions or need to request a recommendation letter.

The following online courses may be taken in eSchool for INITIAL CREDIT (not credit recovery) in fall and spring, outside the school day.

  • Fitness for Life 2 (only if student has previously taken Fitness for Life 1)

  • Courses are taken outside the school dayand all work is completed entirely online.
  • Fee is $180.
  • Check with your counselor before enrolling, to be sure you're in the correct class.
  • All students must attend one mandatory orientation meeting. Check eSchool information sheet for specific dates and times.

  • All students must take a supervised final exam. Check eSchool information sheet for date & time, and other details.

FREE February2023real ACT @ SME for SME juniors

  • This is a REAL ACT and is FREE to all juniors.

  • It will be given in person at SME on the morning of Tuesday, February 27, 2023to all juniors. (There are no online options for this test session.)

  • Juniors who are testing will be excused from classes on the morning of the exam. More details about testing locations, etc., will be sent to juniors in February.

  • No registration necessary for this testing opportunity. All SME juniors are registered.

  • If you do NOT want to take the ACT at SME on Tuesday, February 27th, please use this Google Form to cancel your registration. Important: once you cancel, you will not be able to re-register and will not be able to take the ACT at SME on February 28th.

  • Score reports from the Oct 12th Practice ACT weredistributed to students at school during seminar on Thurs., Nov. 10th.
    • If you did not receive your scores, please contact counselor Michele Grimes, michelegrimes@smsd.org.
  • Digital score reports from the Oct. 12th PSAT are now availablein your College Board account.
    • If you cannot remember your log-in, use the "forgot password" or Help section on the College Board website. (Do NOT create an additional account.)
